10 days and counting. Can't believe how quickly time flies, and it's hard to decide what to concentrate on next. Should I empty room by room, or do a little in each? Last night I managed to get the kids involved, which helped a lot. For our oldest, it meant that she could decide what she wants to take with her, and what she wants to pack down. And that means everything from clothes to toys. She has also helped a lot with her sister, which is a big improvement on being a big sister. So although we still have fights about everything all the time, at least now she sometimes helps her little sister, with things she can't do by herself. Yesterday, during dinner we got a very good demonstration, when she lifted her sister down from the booster, helped her wipe, and opened the gate to the play room for her. All without us even asking, or getting a chance to help. I hope that those are signs of things to come.
But emptying and sorting makes you realize all the stuff that you accumulate after living in a place for so long, and it's a messy one. Yikes. As long as I do one thing at a time though, we will be ok.
